my latop is ancient (thinkpad t42) and its internal wireless nic was really bad at keeping my home network connection. i got this because it's cheap and does more than i need (i have a G network and this can do N). the profile setup was easy, it's nice...
I was shopping for an Acer this is my second one. Acers are fantastic computers. I am more than happy with this computer. It was easy to hook up and the restore disks were very easy to download. It loads quickly when you turn it on. The price was right
The only con I can see is the power button keeps flashing a bright blue light when it goes into rest mode. I have just started shutting it off. My last computer I left on all the time

I am not sure why it says that this comes with the Athlon II X4 620, because mine had the 935 model. Funny it even said it had the 920 on the side of the case. Its a slightly better processor.
Powerful Processor, it is odd mine was clocked at 2.9GHz, its not the same processor on the box or on here. Small case, It runs very cool, It only has the CPU fan witch is huge, Its not stock, I have seen AMD's stock coolers, this one is better....
Graphics is fine for regular usage and videos. So really not a con at all

Small footprint, stylish case, pretty quick once bloat ware is gone, windows 7 is excellent, nicely priced for a home pc
I don't like when the pc is on it's side, looks like it's meant to be that way. But I've always seen problems with discs as the PC was on it's side. That's the only thing I don't like about the way the unit is

While trying to remove a CD while machine was powered down I accidentally knocked the door flap off its hinges (luckily saved the spring). If this happens to you, front panel comes off from clips hidden by case sidewall (perforated side). Remove...
Decent onboard sound ; Acceptable onboard graphics ; Very quiet (even with 1gb Sapphire 5570 graphic card) ; Small footprint ; Ample outputs and inputs (usb, esata, card readers, etc.) ; 4 GB Ram handles most anything ; Excellent Hard drive capacity ;...
Limited expandability ; Front panel/Drive door a bit flimsy ; Top tower vent prevents storage of anything sizable ; Acer 'bloatware' a tad annoying ; Windows 7 'Home Premium ; Mainboard seems Win7 compatible only ; Three button mouse (five button mouse...

Was forced to buy elsewhere do to insufficient stock to ship APO...bummer.
This little powerhouse is perfect for life in cramped quarters. It is small, has good memory, excellent storage, great power and adequate graphics for anything short of serious gaming. I live in small military quaters in Kabul and I really appreciate...
None (I don't have time to play games)

For the money, it's a good deal. As far as reliability?.... too soon to tell.
fast for everyday stuff. quiet. Windows 7 is nice! CPU usage never went over 30% as of yet
Hard drive seems to get a bit hot according to SpeedFan readings (50c). I guess that's to be expected for a slim profile case, everything is jammed in there. I hope this wont be any issue down the line.... oh well

Had a minor problem with the initial setup, but the Acer Tech Support guru (he was in subcontinent) was quick, efficient and very pleasant (the problem involved a lack of operator headspace and timing on my part); this would be a great choice for...
Easy to setup; small footprint; very quiet; seems to perform all tasks very quickly; really like the massive number of USB ports
Don't like the awkward vertical DVD/CD deck positioning, but it serves to save desk space; open button for DVD/CD drive seems weak; power switch button seems weak

Don't let the power supply worry you, even at max load the Sapphire low profile cards won't draw more than 75W. It won't run the newest games at max settings and super high resolutions, but it will run them well enough to play on my HDTV. I wish it...
It is a great little HTPC. It is silent and runs cool with its massive CPU cooler. I added a Sapphire 4650 to it and it runs perfectly, even with the 220W power supply. It runs L4D2, CS:S, and WoW at near max settings @ 1900x1200. There is an opening...
There is a PCIx1 slot but I am worried about airflow to it and the video card directly above it. I bought an external TV tuner because I didn't want to risk cramming another card inside the case ; The DVD drive works fine, though the button to open the...

Seems like a nice package but maybe the integrated video is not sufficient
I noticed it has a 220w power supply. Even low end video cards ask for 350W power supplies. For the poster who added a sapphire card is the system stable after you added a card? Do you have a part number for the card you used

This Aspire is identical to the Gateway...but less expensive.
Nice, quiet and quick...which is exactly what I was looking for for this price. Plays older games like Starcraft and Empire Earth II without issue. Boots up fast
I didn't find anything unexpected...I've owned other Acer PCs and have always had good luck with them
