need better LCD

The loud fan is only on when charging or discharging power. It stops after it's charged up unless the power goes out.

Works with large loads, true sine wave output

Can't read the LCD unless you look at it straight on; i.e. you can't read it if you put the ups on the floor

This has been a life saver.

would prefer USB communication instead of Serial (old serial port).

Industrial strength.

The fan, as mentioned in other comments, is loud.

I'm supposed to be able to control 3 groups of power outlets.

Not designed for home users

Purchased this power supply for large capacity and true sine wave. As soon as I unboxed it I plugged it in to charge and the fan noise could be heard all over my house - this thing is LOUD!!! I think it's intended for server rooms and equipment closets...
