Corsair's Virtuoso RGB SE headset is for classy gamers

 

Corsair is introducing a pair of wireless headsets, the Virtuoso RGB Wireless and Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE that look great, feel super comfortable and oh yeah, offer solid audio too.

The headsets overall aren't underwhelming; they're very nice peripherals that you simply want to touch because they look so nice.

Corsair's new wireless gaming headsets look more like audiophile headphones

 

Corsair's Virtuoso RGB Wireless and Wireless SE gaming headsets are perfect if you don't like your gaming gear to look all angular and aggressive, like it could suddenly transform into a robot.

But as gaming headsets go, the Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless are some of the best looking I've seen and won't stand out too much on a daily commute, on a flight or in the office.

Corsair's new Virtuoso RGB SE doesn't sound quite as good as it looks, but it looks really damn good. If nothing else, it's a much-needed alternative to Corsair's cheap Void line.

Beautifully built ; Excellent microphone ; Firm seal aids passive noise cancellation

Pricey ; Treble emphasis can be exhausting ; Earcups aren't very deep

It's not a flawless debut for Corsair’s new flagship. I’d like to see a move away from the treble-heavy sound in a future iteration, and maybe the addition of more padding to the ears.

The Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE are decent wireless gaming headphones. They have an understated and premium design that's a lot less flashy than many other ...

Graphic EQ and presets available. Very good microphone performance. Premium, durable look and feel.

No music or call-related controls. Disappointing passive soundstage. Tight fit may not be the most comfortable for everyone. No channel mixing. Prone to inconsistent bass and treble delivery. Poor noise isolation performance.

Finally, a wireless gaming headset that I'm not embarrassed to wear in public.

Gorgeous design ; 20-hour battery life ; Supports 3.5mm, Slipstream Wireless, and USB-C connections

Weak bass ; Not many EQ options

The Virtuoso might be the best looking wireless gaming headset out there. Corsair's attention to detail makes these fancy cans tough to pass up.

The Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE offers perfect wireless connectivity, a comfortable fit and excellent sound — at certain frequencies.

But still, the Virtuoso RGB SE is a very good headset, even if it falls a little short of being a headset for the ages. Corsair's reputation as a purveyor of quality peripherals is untarnished — and I'm eager to see how the company innovates from here.
