JVC Gumy Plus in-ear headphones review

One of the most popular sets of cheap earphones is Panasonic's ErgoFit RP-HJE120, which you can find online for around $7. It offers impressively decent sound for the money and a comfortable fit, which is why I gave it four stars.

The JVC Gumy Plus sounds very good for a $7 pair of earphones. It's lightweight, comfortable to wear, and attractively styled.

The treble isn't as smooth as the bass and there's no inline remote/microphone for making cell-phone calls.

At around $7, the surprisingly good-sounding and comfortable JVC Gumy Plus is a bargain.

JVC Gumy Plus Black

But the RP-HJE120s aren't the only sub-$8 earphones that sound surprisingly good for the money. At this price point you'll also find iLuv's City Lights earphones, as well as the JVC Gumy Plus (HAFX5) reviewed here -- and a few other models I haven't...

"It's alright for it's price."

Now let me put it out, I wanted some budget earphones and I don't really know much about music (ex. I have no idea what bass, treble, etc. are). I went on CNET, and found this on the list of (something like) 'Best budget (in-ear) headphones of 2014'. I...

It has an OK design and sounds decent, especially for it's cheap price.

Kind of wears out and no volume control, only play and pause (with the model I bought).

Great quality

I loooooove these headphones. I have small ears and often find headphones uncomfortable but these ones I have always bought over and over again. The only thing is I'm not keen on the colours but that's a minor detsil [This review was collected as part...

Basic headphones

A fine set of headphones, absolutely nothing wrong with them and they do the job. I like noise cancelling so unfortunately they'll not be more than a back up set for me. I also think the blue ones I received are a little cheap looking. [This review was...

Not the best

Personally I found these earphones unusable, they wouldn't stay in the ears at all, quite big and every time I made any movement they fell out! However sound quality is good and the length of the wire is good! [This review was collected as part of a...

Great Normal Headphones

Great basic headphones, good sound quality and good price. Compared to some newer headphones available on the market these are basic, but sometimes that's all you need? Comfortable in ear, wire/cord a good length. Good sound quality! [This review was...
