Nikon 400mm f/2.8G ED VR AF-S Nikkor

 

an excellent fast lens for long distance subjects, such as birds or aircraft photography . This Nikon 400mm f/2.8 G is really a profesional and State of the Art lens.

None really, I have this lens coupled to a Nikon D3X and is quite a hefty combination to carry for long periods, especially up in air photography, birds or aircraft, also a heavy duty tripod is needed.This is real mans photography.

Awesome Lens!

 

I bought the Nikon 400mm 2.8D AF-S lens used this year (2010) and I could not be any happier with a lens. This lens is realatively light for a 400mm lens. It feels lighter than the Canon 400mm f/2.8 lens that I was hefting for the last couple of years....

A Cracker

 

Went mad and bought this. Had it a week. Its stunning and a Custom Bracket Gimbal Head for the tripod make it featherweight to use. Just got to work out how to travel with this Beast. A 2x Converter makes it magic for birds.
