The VR2940's autothumbnail menus more than compensate for its lack of an S-Video input, making this dubber a winner.

Cleans up the video noise on old VHS tapes; automatic DVD menus provide thumbnails for the chapter stops; intuitive menus and remote; progressive scan; 2:3 pull-down detection; component-video out; FireWire input.

No S-Video or component inputs; recorded VHS tapes look a bit washed out; so-so recording quality from the composite-video inputs; no onscreen programming guide or VCR Plus.

If you have a pile of old VHS tapes you want archived to DVD, GoVideo's new VHS-to-DVD deck makes it easier than ever.
