Gripping

This book was a quick and easy read which surprised me, however, this was probably due to the fact that it was written in a childs narrative. I couldn't put it down and the story was sad with an ending I couldn't even begin to imagine could of...

I was desperately hoping for some sort of happy ending, but there isnt one. This film is very thought provoking and is a lesson to everyone.I was shocked by this film, because it involved children, only watch it if you are not easily upset.

Superb Film

An 8 year old during the war, how can it be explained to him and how can his young mind comprehend it. We get both sides of it here as both 8 year old boys don't know why or what exactly is happening. The story follows Bruno the German boy as he moves...

A definite must-have!

A movie about childhood, friendship and innocence that strikes me as one of the most heartwarming stories I've ever seen. It brings me deeply sad memories of my visit to Auschwitz, in 1991, but it's also a wise reminder that all nazis were not...

Fantastic & moving

This is a fantastic book, the story is not long but it does not need to be, written exactly in the way a 9 year old boy thinks. It is a story of friendship and sadness and really moving, unlike anything I have read before. The ending really gets you...

the boy in striped pyjamas

I am a 51 year old woman and thought it was absolutely brilliant, bringing tears to my eyes at the innocence of the children. Since buying it a month ago, I have lent it to five people (all adults) 4 of which have read it and loved it.
