STAY AWAY from Hanns-G & Hannspree!

 

I bought this monitor around 2 years ago thinking I was getting a great deal. One of the biggest reasons I bought it was also because it claimed to include a "3-year warranty on parts & labor". Well this turned out to be a LIE. After less than 2 years...

Cheap....but you get what you pay for

Warranty DOES NOT COVER CERTAIN PARTS! (i.e. backlight) ; Picture quality wasn't that great, even with brightness turned up to maximum it was dimmer than my 5 year old Dell monitor ; Color range isn't good either ; Range of motion is very minimal ;...

Good while it lasted

 

I called tech support and they told me I could send it in for repair. Turns out the panel is only covered for 1 year. Maybe the plastic case is covered for the full 3 years??? I will probably go with a different brand when this thing dies. I just hope...

nice quality for the price

After 2 years the monitor started to hum. It wouldn't wake when my computer when to sleep (I had to turn it off then on). I also started noticing horizontal lines in the top right corner

Awful costomer service

 

Do NOT BUY from HANNS-G ever

Monitor started making a high frequency noise and kept switching off. Sent it for service and they repaired it and sent it back. It wasn't switching off anymore but I had two big stuck pixels and lots of small stuck pixels. Now I called them about...

Died after a little over a year, not really worth the money in the end.

This monitor was cheap with 2 hdmi inputs

Onboard sound sucked, but that was pretty much expected

A Good monitor

 

I might get another one because its a good monitor (not great) otherwise I had it for about 2 years now and i like it a lot, if it breaks, so what! For $189 this is a hell of a lot better than spending almost $300 for a higher end name brand model.

I'd have to say that I had my doubts about it, however I began to enjoy the qualities this monitor had. First: it is very cheap compared to it's competitors, Second: if you think that you are going to get a "1337" monitor for a bargain you are an...

None not really, it won't break if you don't mess with it

Good bargain!

 

Didn't buy it for the speakers.

This monitor has nice crisp sharp images.... brilliant colors and easy to use OSD

Audio is weak. Not very loud

AWFUL

 

I was told that Hanns-G was the maker of the actual LCD screens that go into LG TV's. If thats the case LG needs to re-think the business partnership they have with Hanns-G. The quality of the products should succeed anything else. Good luck making...

Good, at first.

 

Don'y buy. Chances are you'll end up unsatisfied. Warranty requires me to ship the monitor to California (I'm in Ohio), all expenses on me. Who knows how many weeks it would take for their repair. Not worth it, spend the extra money and avoid Hanns-G

Big screen, very cheap, bright backlight

Severe ghosting of images after about 3 months of use. Every image on the screen seems to be duplicated, large black streak from top to bottom of screen along left side

I've done my time with this company. I suggest a very skeptical "caveat emptor" with this brand of monitors. I'll list these as "if it looks to good to be true, it probably is"...
