Dont bother

Get the 22" Sceptre with 2ms and 1680x1050 max rez. I have 3 now and love them

Size and Price

The max res of the lcd is so low that you might as well not even bother having the 23" monitor. The response time is slow by lcd standards

Makes a good TV

I bought this monitor to use on a computer who's primary function is to be a TV. I had to replace the TV in my home office. I had an old PC that still worked fine but wasn't being used. Instead of getting a new TV, I decided to use the PC as a TV and...

It works great as a TV. I am usually 10-20 feet from the monitor when watching TV. I have no compalints

can't think of any

High Quality Monitor

I purchased this for my wife's laptop. It's not all that old, but the video card cannot adjust past the resolution going to the screen (1280 X 800). This monitor adapted well to this resolution. I tried the X24 (which I use for my desktop...LOVE IT)...

Very good resolution solution for older graphics cards, has speakers for sound, uses DVI and VGA, nice menu, good controls, nice adjustment options

Stand is OK not great

Best Monitor for the Price

People are crazy to say anything bad about this monitor.

Excellent picture quality ; Speakers are great and loud enough ; No dead or stuck pixels ; I use this for my Media Center PC as a TV ; I paid $200, definitely worth it ; I have been using it for 7 months

the last review you'll ever need =>

The width is kinda' thick... and it's rather heavy for an lcd... so I don't know about mounting this thing... I hadn't been able to test the 1080p claims... I just hope it's better than all the rest. (BTW it DOES go up to 1440x900... it just doesn't...

it;s a big screen and feels like good material. The monitor stands abnormally tall wich maybe good or bad for you... however the neck is nicely adjustable. The speakers sound petty good! ... for 2w speakers lol

I don't know what this 'great for older people' is about, 1360x768 is not much bigger than 1680x1050 or whatever, it's still a 23 inch monitor. But what that other guy said is VERY true. It's a pretty bad picture. The color on this thing bleeds like...

A great monitor for the price

Misleading name, HOWEVER It can get 1080p Input and downscale it to 720p, However it cannot OUTPUT at 1080p. Good for using a game console on with built-in speakers (minding you HAVE the proper cables, which I didn't get from Newegg)

The screen is much larger then expected, the images on the product page do not do it justice. Good functionality supporting both VGA and DVI so you can have two devices setup (i.e a game console on VGA and your Computer Tower on DVI) ; With large...

Monitor did NOT come packaged with VGA-to-Component Cable or RCA Audio Cable, Contacting Newegg for support resolved nothing, they told me to contact the manufacturer. For all Newegg's great support guarantee they really didn't live up to it this time...

sceptre aint what it used to be

The x20s are good anything else seems to be junk from sceptre. good luck getting anyone educated to help you. basically they told me too bad on the 42 inch tv should have been clearnce priced like this 23. dont buy it unless you dont care how good it...

used to be a good name. I have bought no less then 10 sceptre's including from 19 inch to 42 inch the last 4 i bought inclucing the 42 inch are horrible

cheaply made, horrible support, poor quality picture, the 42 inch tv is a joke. gets hardly any channels and looks blurry . this 23 inch monitor has lower res then the 20. looks horrible, cant even put as much on screen as 20. very dissapointed this is...

Great for older folks.

Got it during the holidays, when it was on sale for $250 with a $50 mail-in rebate. Amazing deal if Sceptre happens to honour it. Some people here have complained about the monitor's low resolution. Well, the value is clearly stated under the device's...

1) Great size ; 2) 2 ports (DVI and VGA) ; 3) No dead pixels ; 4) Took me a while to calibrate its settings, but once done, picture looked good. Looks sharp at native resolution. Never tried any other

1) Spectre should seriously consider making PDF versions of their manuals and putting them online for download (just as everyone else in the tech industry does!) ; 2) Vertical viewing angle is advertised as 170° but i believe the value is less than...

Great for the HTPC!

Like I said, this makes a great TV for the home theatre computer for a dorm or bedroom. It's literally a 23 inch HDTV without a tuner at the resolution its at. Because its a monitor, the colors are much better than a TV as well.

Awesome picture quality. This monitor makes a great "TV" for the HTPC for a dorm or bedroom

One stuck pixel, but completely invisible at the distance I use it at ; Menu is a bid tedious to use as the buttons are in a bad spot
