Displays text well, Full HD resolution

No HDMI port, less-than-totally-smooth video playback

The ViewSonic VG2427wm would make a good choice for users who need a big screen for text-intensive work, but the less-than-totally-smooth video playback and the lack of an HDMI-in port may disappoint for gamers and movie watchers.

Viewsonic VG2427wm

The 24-inch VG2427wm LCD monitor does a wonderful job of displaying tiny text and provides detailed 1080p video, but it lacks an HDMI connection.

Good color and grayscale performance. Includes USB ports. Excellent text reproduction. Ergonomic stand.

Lacks HDMI input. Some motion artifacts. Slight backlight bleed.

ViewSonic VG2427wm review: ViewSonic VG2427wm

ViewSonic VG2427wm

The ViewSonic VG2427wm includes a decent host of ergonomic options, three USB ports, and great game and movie performance.

The ViewSonic VG2427wm's chassis feels hollow and fragile; its OSD lacks useful options like presets.

The ViewSonic VG2427wm has a good assortment of ergonomic options and great performance, but its asking price is just a bit too high to recommend.

ViewSonic VG2427wm

The VG2427wm, a 24-inch widescreen LCD monitor, performed well in our image quality tests. Text on a page of fonts of different sizes looked sharp, even when at a very small (6-point) size.

Nice image quality

Lacks an HDMI connection

This 24-incher showed great image quality in our tests, but it's hampered by its lack of an HDMI port.
