Logitech Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad T650

Our exclusive review of the first Windows 8 touchpad on the market.

Stylish design, Durable with excellent build quality, Responsive, Intuive setup with customisable gestures

Expensive, Poor battery life, Limited use in early days of Windows 8

Touch pads gain ground with the Logitech T650

A standalone touch pad makes a lot more sense than a mouse for Windows 8 gestures.

The glass-topped ; has a large multitouch surface, and works seamlessly with all types of Windows 8 devices.

The charging cable and USB receiver are extra parts to deal with, and Mac functionality is severely limited.

The Logitech Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad T650 makes it easy to add a standalone touch pad to your Windows 8 tablet or desktop, but mimicking touch-screen gestures is still an imperfect experience.

Logitech T650 Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad

While plenty of new laptops and desktops are incorporating touch screens to accommodate the touch-centric aspects of Windows 8, not everyone who upgraded to the new operating system chose to upgrade to more expensive touch-enabled hardware. For those...

Windows 8 touch functionality in a comfortable, easy to use device. Eliminates the need to upgrade laptop or desktop for touch. Stylish design

Minor quirks mar gesture control. Desktop use and USB charging raises questions about wireless design

The Logitech T650 Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad puts all of the touchable features of Windows 8 into the hands of regular desktop users.

Logitech T650 Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad review

Logitech's answer is the T650 Touchpad. It's a large slab that's around four times bigger than the average laptop touchpad, and supports up to four-fingered gestures.

The T650 is pretty expensive at £70, and isn't a perfect substitute for a touchscreen. If you're prepared to use it alongside a traditional mouse, it can make using Windows 8's modern interface a much nicer experience. We'd be tempted to put that £70...

Logitech Touchpad T650 Review

Logitech has brought to the market the Touchpad T650, as a means of providing relief to users of Windows 8 who do not have touchscreens. We got ourselves a unit to see whether it actually does provide any relief or if it falls short like almost every...

Logitech Rechargeable Touchpad T650 | Review

Love it or hate it, Windows 8 is here. Sad face.

Ease of installation, with Unifying RF receiver USB dongle ; Buttery smooth glass surface ; Excellent build quality ; Impressive battery performance, both on charging and longevity

I’m still faster on a mouse. That’s not a fault of the device, really. That’s just me. But once I go Windows 8, who knows

Well okay, I’m still finding a mouse to be faster than a trackpad, so I still reach for my wireless mouse on a regular basis. But the trackpad is useful for its gestures: scrolling down articles, swiping in and out of apps, things like that. Plus, its...

Labs Brief: Logitech T650 Wireless Touchpad

Even if you do your best to avoid Windows 8's modern UI and stay on the desktop, having access to the inbuilt touch gestures makes the entire experience of using the OS a lot smoother. This is where Logitech's t650 touchpad comes in, with support for...

A great way to leverage touch on older PCs.

Logitech t650 Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad Review and Ratings

If you're looking to use Windows 8's handy gesture controls on an older non-touch desktop or laptop, the t650 mostly delivers. But not all gestures work equally well, and a touch-enabled screen offers a more enjoyable, intuitive experience.

Adds gesture controls to non-touch Windows 8 desktops and laptops ; Premium look and feel ; Cursor control and most gestures work very well

Touch-pad gestures aren’t as intuitive as using a touch screen ; Swiping in from the sides is a bit clumsy ; Software doesn’t allow for custom gestures ; Pricey

While we mostly enjoyed using the Logitech t650 Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad to navigate Windows 8, we never got used to swiping in from the edge of the device. And the experience overall was just not as intuitive or smooth as using Windows 8 with a...

Review: Logitech t650 Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad

The t650 is Logitech's answer to Apple's Magic Trackpad. It's a 134mm square wireless touchpad, with rounded corners and edge-to-edge glass.
