Acer's AMD-powered Chromebook 315 is an affordable 15.6-inch touch-screen model with no glaring faults, but its plastic bulk and just-okay display make clear its budget roots.

Inexpensive. Two USB Type-C and two USB Type-A ports. Above-average audio. Big screen supports touch input.

Chassis is big and heavy. Lackluster performance. Mediocre panel quality.

Bottom Line: Acer's AMD-powered Chromebook 315 is an affordable 15.6-inch touch-screen model with no glaring faults, but its plastic bulk and just-okay display make clear its budget roots.

The Acer Chromebook 15 isn't the prettiest chromebook out there, but a 15-inch screen and 15+ hours of battery life for a mere $200 is a tough deal to beat.

Class-leading battery life and 15-inch screen for an an excellent price. Dual-band 802.11ac wireless.

Dowdy design. Screen looks a bit grainy. Key travel is short.

Conclusion If you're looking for a bargain on a chromebook, and you value function over form, it's really hard to do better than the Chromebook 15. You might be giving up style, but in return you'll get a bigger screen and absurdly long battery...
