The MacSense HomePod is a subpar digital audio device that's merely trying to ride Apple's coattails with a confusingly similar name and design.

Attractive design; streams music wirelessly from home computers or Internet radio stations; works as an alarm clock; plays from USB storage drives.

Streams only MP3 files; awful built-in speakers; FM antenna not durable.

Lovely but flawed, the HomePod's MP3-only handicap puts it light-years behind other iPod knockoffs.

HomePod is just one cool product!

 

Ok, I bought this thinking it REALLY wasn't going to be able to get internet radio stations without a computer because I didn't think such a device was on the market yet. But the advertising said it would do it so I took a chance. It has exceeded my...

Easy to use, even for someone without a lot of technical ability

Built in speakers could be better...but sounds great through external speakers
