Performance

Polk Audio SurroundBar

Sleek single-speaker surround system; five speakers in one; extruded-aluminum cabinet; flexible setup options; nonreflective virtual-surround effect works regardless of room design and layout; wall-mount bracket and table stand included.

Somewhat expensive; hardly an ideal choice for music lovers; you still need to invest in a subwoofer.

A single-speaker surround system, the Polk Audio SurroundBar works best as a home-theater solution for small rooms.

Polk Audio SurroundBar 9000 & 5000 Instant Home Theater Preview

At $799 for the Polk Audio SurroundBar 9000 and $399 for the SurroundBar 5000 Instant Home Theaters, the prices are certainly attractive. This may be enough to make them successful.

Polk Audio SurroundBar 500CHT First Look

Polk Audio has put some of their best drivers into their SurroundBar CHT500. At $999, it isn't a cheap solution but it may be worth it if the audio quality (and surround experience) is there.

While we've never been huge fans of the surround bar revolution, we have to admit that they have their uses. Polk Audio has put some of their best drivers into their SurroundBar CHT500. While being forced to be paired with a receiver instead of...

Polk Audio SurroundBAR

Speakers have made a slow progression from large to small to tiny to invisible. The Polk Audio SurroundBAR is in the latter category. The SurroundBAR is a single (almost) speaker solution that places

Polk Audio SurroundBar 360 review: Polk Audio SurroundBar 360

Polk Audio SurroundBar 360

Single-speaker home theater system; includes built-in DVD player; inputs for additional external AV components; easy setup; superior sound quality; strong-enough bass that most listeners won't need a subwoofer.

Limited number of AV inputs; built-in Blu-ray player or HDMI inputs would've been an ideal upgrade.

The Polk Audio SurroundBar 360 DVD Theater delivers excellent sound from a single speaker bar, with the lack of built-in Blu-ray being the real sticking point.

Polk Audio SurroundBar 6000 Instant Home Theater Reviewed

One of the best soundbars in the business, the Polk SurroundBar 6000 gets the full treatment from HomeTheaterReview.com's, head-honcho, Andrew Robinson. Compare this to the Aperion Audio Soundmatter's sound bar, Yamaha and many others at the top of the...

I'm amazed at how quickly soundbars have advanced and how good they sound considering their obvious limitations and budget status. The soundbar market around the $500 price point seems to be the most competitive of the lot, with more manufacturers...

Polk Audio SurroundBar 6000 Instant Home TheaterReview

Not everybody has room for a surround sound system, but that doesn't mean they don't want surround sound. If funds and space are a little tight, Polk Audio may just have you covered.

The Polk Audio SurroundBar 6000 offers a lot of performance for only $499 and does so in a neat little package. It is a breeze to set-up and operate, and comes with an excellent remote. The three inputs make it quite practical, but it would be even...

Polk SurroundBar 3000 Soundbar Reviewed

Polk is clearly one of the industry leaders in soundbars and the SurroundBar 3000 is one that shows off fine quality right out of the box. While not packing all of the inputs of an AV receiver, the SurroundBar 3000 has a 50 watt amp...

The SurroundBar 3000 is built very well with some nice features like built-in rubber feet, looks terrific, and keeps a low profile

The SurroundBar 3000 provides no video switching ; The SurroundBar 3000 does not decode Dolby Digital, DTS, or any HD music material ; The SurroundBar 3000 sounds a bit too polite sometimes, lacking somedetail, midrange speed, and low end slam over...

The SurroundBar 3000 provides a solid amount of features andperformance for an affordable price. The remote and wireless subwooferworked perfectly and added a lot of convenience. The solid cosmeticsand build quality allow it to function as a primary...

Allnic Audio H-3000 LCR Reference phono stage - 10,900

I have already reviewed Allnic's wonderful T1500 300B integrated amp, and now I am reviewing the complete Allnic front-end, starting with the H-3000 LCR Reference phono stage, then adding the L-3000 line stage, and finally I will add the newest version...

I’m not sure I even understand what all that means, but it’s what the H-3000's manual says. What I do know is what my ears tell me, and they tell me there is something fundamentally different about this phono preamp.
