Compact, basic software onboard. Tape is reasonably priced compared to some brands. It's a nice little unit but somebody didn't think through the power source very well.

Runs on batteries! This is just stupid. It has to have a USB cable connected to run because there's no display or keyboard on it. So why doesn't it take the power from the USB cable too? It could be smaller and lighter if it got the power from USB...

This printer is much easier to use than the other brother label printer that I own, which is the freestanding type with a keyboard. This installed flawlessly and cleverly has the necessary software installed right on the device. Because it is so easy...

A bit bulky, but not enough to prevent traveling with it. TZ tapes are freakishly expensive and the amount of waste generated by the automagical tape advance is nuts. If Brother could improve upon that and get closer to competitors products cost/waste...

Prints big and small jobs. Depending on the label used - labels are waterproof. We have been using this for our files, posters, and name plates. Very strong labels. Label maker works great. It has never let us down. Plan to buy another for home use.

Prints good labels when connected to a PC. Software is customizable but only through trial and error.

This device would be fine if it came with software designed for a Mac. Seems this company still believes that only PC users are interested in its products. Too bad. They've missed a potential market share. What's so difficult about designing software...

For the closeout price at which this printer is sold, it is an outstanding value, especially if you have the power supply to fit it. I had two with the correct polarity that had been used for pairs of powered speakers. I prefer to use batteries for...

Not sure I have the right to carp about this, but although the printer will print images they are relatively low res. I get best results by converting grayscale images to bitmaps with 1200 dpi resolution using the "diffusion dither" Photoshop setting....

Compact, lots of choices for tape. Built in software. Downloadable software.

Doesn't come with power supply. Have to buy it separately or use 6 AAA batteries. Batteries don't last very long.
