Corsair Raptor K40 Keyboard Review

A few years ago, we witnessed the return of mechanical keyboards and ever since then companies have been fighting a marketing war about whose keyboard is better. The truth however is that mechanical keyboards, even in their least expensive...

Corsair Raptor K40 review

It may not have mechanical switches, but the Corsair Raptor K40 is a good-value gaming keyboard with plenty of features

Corsair Raptor K40 Review — Colorful Language

The Raptor K40 is a decent keyboard with a cool lighting gimmick. Beyond that, it's hard to think of a reason to spend $80 for it. If you absolutely must have a membrane gaming keyboard, the Raptor K40 is one of the better ones. Even so, you might be...

Gorgeous lighting ; Intuitive, attractive design ; Good macro functionality

Feels like a much cheaper keyboard ; No wrist rest ; Expensive for what it does

Expert Review

Deep macro functionality, Key plungers set above closed keyboard surface, Side-splayed feet, Color-configurable backlighting

Not a mechanical board, Next to no macro instructions, No help system

Given all else you get, the K40 is an excellent investment at about half the price of top-shelf gaming models like the Ryos. If you’re not wedded to a mechanical keyfeel, you can get plenty of mileage out of this board and spend the difference on games.

Fast and easy to type on.

Not as satisfying to use as a mechanical keyboard.

Corsair Raptor K40 review

Admittedly we like the entire Vengeance Keyboard series very much. This is the first Raptor we have tested and admittedly I am impressed. The Raptor series is aimed to be more mainstream, and while it certainly has a somewhat "cheaper" feel opposed to...

Corsair Raptor K40 Gaming Keyboard Review

There is no doubt that mechanical keyboards have taken a significant market share in recent times as all of the major manufacturers moved away from membrane style units in the high end. There are exceptions to that though, such as the Razer...

Corsair Raptor K40 Review

The Corsair Raptor K40 in today's review is a departure from our past keyboard reviews in two ways. Firstly, the Raptor 40 is a rubber-dome based keyboard rather than mechanical and expanded upon that, it's also quite affordable rather than attracting...

Volles Raptor-Feature-Set ; N-Key-Rollover ; 6 Makro-Tasten ; 7 Multimedia-Tasten ; 1000 Hz Polling
