Panasonic Viera TC-P42G25 42-Inch Plasma TV

The 42-inch Panasonic Viera TC-P42G25 is a 1080p plasma HDTV with a 600Hz subfield drive. It's big, clunky, and thick, with elementary on-screen menus and a forgettable remote. Still, it does have some nice features, such as a cinema mode with THX...

YouTube application has lots of options ; Great range of viewing angles

Oversaturated colors ; Menus and remote are basic

This set has a great range of viewing angles and a low price--and a few image quality issues.

Panasonic Viera TC-PG25 review: Panasonic Viera TC-PG25

Panasonic Viera TC-PG25

Superb black-level performance; accurate primary colors in THX mode; great color saturation; effective antireflective screen; uses less power than previous 1080p plasmas; VieraCast provides access to select Internet services and improved customization.

Last year's Panasonic plasmas lost black-level performance over relatively short periods of time; cannot properly handle 1080p/24 sources; fewer streaming services and apps than the competition; uses more power than LCDs.

Panasonic's TC-PG20/25 series offers a highly tempting mix of features, value, and initial picture quality, but long-term black-level performance is still an open question.

Best 42-inch plasma HDTV

If 3D isn't a concern but good picture quality is, experts say that Panasonic's TC-PG20/25 series of plasma TVs, including the 42-inch Panasonic TC-P42G25 could be just what you are looking for. Black levels are excellent, but some reviewers...

Good black levels, good color performance, tHX certification, skype compatibility, decent energy efficiency

Black levels durability, internet content limited compared to some

Panasonic TC-P42G25 Review – 42-inch Plasma HDTV

The models introduced this year by Panasonic have much more improved technology than 2009. This 42-inch TV from the G25 series is packed with features with the exception of the 3D technology. It sports a NeoPDP panel that gives brighter pictures but...

Panasonic is in the front seat as far as energy conservation is concerned. It has introduced many features in the TV which consume less energy. One among them is the NeoPDP panel. It uses much less energy and yet does not compromise on the brightness...

"Dead in 30 months"

I will never, ever buy another Panasonic product of any kind.

When it worked, it worked well.

"Vertical Blacklines appeared on screen in 2 years."

I didn't expect a TV will go bad in 2 years. I bought it because of the good reviews. CNET don't review pruduct for their durability I guess.

A average TV if the screen didn't go bad.

Screen goes bad too quickly. It seems a common problem with this kind of TV.

"Dont buy this TV or any Panasonic"

Within months of ownership (So, inside the warranty period), I got the blinking red light of death. Since it's 42" they won't come to your place, you have to lug this 80 pound television to them. Panasonic considers this "portable." So find the biggest...

Fine, when it isn't broken

died twice in 2 years, which is all the cons anyone needs to stay far away.

Good Plasma TV

It is a high end Plasma TV with a nice screen. The TV has different view modes such as vivid and custom. You can change the settings to suit your requirements. The picture clarity is good and so is the voice quality. The TV is HD ready and is also to...
