Samsung S95C OLED TV review: jaw-droppingly gorgeous

Samsung has achieved something truly special with the S95C. Dazzlingly bright, richly colored, and a joy to watch. So why is Samsung holding it back?

Incredibly bright colors Perfect black levels Pristine overall picture Great upscaling Awesome for gaming

Mediocre sound No Dolby Vision support

“The S95C is the best TV Samsung has ever made”

Review: Samsung S95C QD-OLED

Sorry LG. With gorgeous quantum dots and perfect black levels, this pedestal-mounted flagship is among the best TVs of 2023.

Excellent black levels. Bright colors. Great for well-lit rooms and wide viewing angles. Center pedestal mount. Remote never needs a battery.

Slow interface. Thin enough that you'll want help installing it, especially in larger sizes. Remote is easy to lose in couch.

Samsung S95C (QE65S95C) review

One of the most technically capable TVs there's ever been

Incredible contrast ; Bright, vibrant and super-sharp ; Excellent gaming specs

A slight lack of picture subtlety ; No Dolby Vision ; Below-par sound for the price

The S95C is an astonishingly capable TV that’s held back from true greatness by a slight lack of picture subtlety

Samsung S95C review: taking QD-OLED to new heights

Samsung's next-generation S95C Quantum Dot OLED TV delivers some of the best 4K HDR images we've seen to date

Exceptional super-bright 4K picture performance ; Comprehensive gaming support (4x HDMI 2.1) ; Stunning Infinity One design

S90C is cheaper (but less bright) ; No Dolby Vision HDR ; High-end price

The Samsung S95C redefines the capabilities of Quantum Dot OLED, pushing this new display technology to greater levels of performance. The increased brightness and improved tone mapping deliver some of the best high dynamic range we’ve ever seen, and...

Samsung S95C review: a brighter, better OLED TV that looks great from any angle

Quantum Dot OLED mark 2 is here - and it rocks

Wonderfully bright, colourful pictures ; Spectacular contrast ; Excellent gaming support

No Dolby Vision support ; Some initial presets need work ; Slightly aggressive tone mapping

Samsung’s second generation of Quantum Dot OLED TV provides strong proof that we were right to predict great things for this new technology. The S95C is more spectacular but also more controlled than its already illustrious predecessor - and we can’t...

Samsung S95C 4K OLED TV

We love the S95C's velvety picture and richly saturated highlights--it's a top-three TV to be sure. But Samsung needs to up its image-processing and user interface game to beat the likes of Sony's A95K and LG's Evo G3 OLED TVs.

Lush color and deep blacks ; Lots of peak brightness ; Super thin thanks to Samsung’s One Connect technology

Needs a more efficient smart TV interface ; Remote control needs more buttons ; Image processing lags behind LG

We love the Samsung S95C’s velvety picture and richly saturated highlights–it’s a top three TV to be sure. That said, Samsung needs to up its image-processing game and rework its smart TV user interface if it wants to beat out the likes of Sony’s A95K...

Samsung S95C (QE65S95C) review: The jewel in Samsung’s QD-OLED crown

The Samsung S95C takes quantum dot OLED to the next level and delivers stunning 4K HDR images but costs a lot more than its S90C stablemate

Super-bright HDR for an OLED ; Incredible colour saturation ; Superb gaming support

No Dolby Vision

The Samsung S95C is a significant step forward for quantum dot OLED, addressing issues from last year’s S95B, building in new features, and pushing the display technology to new heights of peak brightness.
