Despite the nanocrystal-powered color and HDR compatibility inherent in Samsung's SUHD name, the JS8500 doesn't offer appreciably better image quality than many less expensive TVs. It has lighter black levels than some top competitors, an issue...

The Samsung UNJS8500 SUHD TV has a very good picture for an edge-lit LED LCD, but not good enough to justify the price.

Hope yours doesn't break

 

The TV itself is ok, good picture and looks nice. The faults are about everything else. The only way to plug in anything other than one USB device is to use the "one connect" box and cable. The cable it comes with is an awkward 4ft length making it...

NEVER HAD ISSUE WITH LG

 

SPEND THE DOLLARS ON A LG. I CANNOT IDENTIFY EVERY HICKEY ISSUE WITH THE SAMSUNG. I VOTE LG ALL THE WAY. OH WELL, NEXT TIME, DON'T LISTEN TO THE SALES GUY WHEN YOU HAVE ALREADY FIELD TESTED ANOTHER MANUFACTURER.

"Defective TV"

 

Purchased this unit directly from Samsung. It arrived defective. It had issues connecting to internet (on/off), memory full, and slow processing. Having a hard time resolving the issue with Samsung as they don't seem to care about their consumers.
