Earlier Dysons, including one which we owned, may have been "bagless", but emptying the dust canister was a bit fiddly. The DC07 sorted this out. One button releases the whole body (see second photo) and a "trigger" opens the bottom of the canister...

The suction is way beyond anything else out there. There are many different versions of this great vacuum cleaner. If you want super clean because you have pets and that lovely hair that flies everywhere...then upgrade accordingly. The featured item...

It is pricey and not real fond of all the plastic but it is sturdy and built for durability and made to last. It is pretty heavy overall but moves well to compensate for that. The rollerball model takes that into account

Great Vac, Amazed at the power. Grooms carpet well (takes some practice)

It leaves groovelines in the carpet so you have to get used to vaccuming a certain way, but its way better than anything else I've ever owned

Very few. It seems sturdy

Not much cleaning power. Just about as bad as it gets for picking-up pet hair. Nothing about any of the Dyson's that I can see that makes any of them worth anywhere near the premium price they want for them

Actually vacuums hair and dirt better than either of our other two vacuums (a Miele upright and a Simplicity Pro). Especially effective on carpets if you have animals. Safe for oriental rugs, even those placed on top of wall-to-wall carpet. Handles...

Somewhat loud, but what you hear is the top-of-the-handle attachment point which has a perforated cover when an attachment isn't stuck in it. Otherwise it's no louder than any other vacuum with its power. Tipping the handle over requires a foot push in...
