Asus Essentio CM1740-04

 

The Asus Essentio CM1740-04 is a solid entry-level desktop, and its AMD Llano APU has an edge over Intel's integrated graphics on the gaming grid.

Big 1TB hard drive. USB 3.0 ports on board. AMD Llano APU provides DirectX 11 and graphics support for games. Plenty of expansion room. Keyboard and mouse included. No bloatware.

No Wi-Fi. Video encoding and Photoshop multimedia results were slower than Intel competition.

Dead in 2 Years.

 

Great while it lasted

I had problems with the unit when i first bought it, which I had to send it back to ASUS for repairs. Now it is a brick - I turn it on, the light comes on, the HD starts up, then nothing, no BIOS or anything else

Had to exchange it after 4 days.

really nice

 

i got a Asus HD Radeon 6670 for it, which lets me play games like starcraft 2 at max quality at 1080p at around 30fps

works very well for a cheap priced desktop

there's a front fan slot, but the plastic cover doesn't have the vent for it, so you can't use the fan to cool the desktop

I love Asus

 

Computer operates very fast for the price. A good bargain

Came full of faults. Tech support did not want to work on the device but finally fixed some of the problems. Basically, If you buy any pc on here, consider it AS/IS
