unit was not replacable within needed timeframe; cost was refunded after talking to ASUS tech support and Newegg

good looking; nice set of features for a slimline; seemed to have enough room to work

unit was DOA

Quiet and Stable

 

A good stable platform for the office, not very expandable.

Very Quiet. Intelligent Fans mean unit is very quiet under most conditions. ASUS includes a good CPU fan allowing you to use OEM CPUs. Intel chipset seems very stable, no issues

As stated, there are some drawbacks: No real room for a FDD, despite having the physical space for one. The HDD mounting scheme is slick with rubber isolators, but one of the plastic latches has snapped, forcing me to use the other set. As mentioned...

What was Asus thinking?

 

I'd built a couple of systems around the Pundit-R and was looking forward to using the Pundit-PE3 for a new customer and I'm not sure I'd do it again. The Pundir-PE3 is a nice box with lots of room for an SFF case. It's got a good sized power supply...
