Windows 7 Downgrade is not smooth

 

Great price and great computer

Windows 8 is horrible. Tried to play with it for a few day, but its not efficient. The windows 7 downgrade is not very smooth

Windows 8 is terrible!

 

I wouldn't recommend this computer unless you plan to use Windows 8.

Good computer at good price

Windows 7 downgrade is not a smooth process at all. Too way to long with Dell and Windows 8 is just not acceptable

Revisted the Downgrade Process

 

Update to my review/warning below. After reading CraigH's review I called Dell back and talked with the same rep I did the first time through. This time things went much better! I was on and off the phone in about five minutes. Disks are in the mail

Update on Wiindows 7

 

Someone somewhere needs to identify a process that allows customers avail of the specification": Free downgrade to Windows 7.

Still a good machine but still no Windows 7. Why not remove the downgrade option and that would resolve the issue

The disks arrived but I stumbled when I contacted Dell to get a Product Key. They refused to issue a key unless the ownership data I gave to them matched their information. Unfortunately it did not. So now I have the media but no way to activate. Still...
