Lenovo ThinkStation E20

The Lenovo ThinkStation E20 is one of the more capable PCs in the business desktop category, delivering strong performance at a fair price ($1179 as configured, as of August 31, 2010). Nevertheless, the ThinkStation E20 ultimately falls short of...

Screwless contraptions hold interior devices in place ; DisplayPort connectivity ; Biometric scanner on keyboard

Limited upgradability ; Poor diversity in external connections

Although the ThinkStation E20 is a solid desktop PC, it fails to unseat its business-class competition.

Lenovo ThinkStation E20

The Lenovo ThinkStation E20 has the power to rival systems costing almost twice as much.

Great price for a workstation. Very good benchmark numbers. ISV certified. Core i5 power for high end graphics. Tool-less upgrades. Media card reader. Lots of expansion room. Green Tech Approved.

No eSATA. No FireWire. A couple of trialware packages.

More desktop reviews: • Acer Aspire Z3 (AZ3-715-UR15)• Origin Neuron• Dell OptiPlex 7450 All-in-One• Microsoft Surface Studio• Corsair One Pro• more

Good Machine - Difficult Transition

Good machine difficult transition from XP to Windows 7.

The E20 (4222-67U) is fast, quiet, delivered with a hard drive that is not littered with trial software. It does what it is supposed to out of the box. The unit ships with Windows 7 Professional - that after a download - permits installation of XP mode...

The Newegg price was 200 above other vendors - purchased from Newegg due to existing relationship & confidence of a speedy delivery. Windows 7 a bear to work with. 7's Easy Transfer isn't so easy - 8 hrs to read old XP machine and transfer to E20 -...
