Awesome Little System!

Specs: - Windows 7 Ultimate x64 - Zotac ZBOX HD-ND02-U - 4 GB of Patriot DDR3 1066 Laptop Ram - Western Digital 160 GB 7200 RPM Laptop Hard Drive - ASUS External DVD Burner I would have loved to put an SSD in this system but this was a budget build...

This is an awesome little barebones system! I built it for my parents to use as a desktop system; this little guy is more than powerful enough for what they need. They are not power users and do basic things like surf the net, email, create documents,...

The only con I can see is that this little system runs a bit hot. CPU temps average 70 - 75 Celsius ; It also would have been cool if it came with a remote, but you have the freedom to choose the remote you want, so it's not a big enough deal to take...

Good little multimedia box

I'm finally getting around to building my own DIY whole-home DVR setup and these little computers are running the front-end at the TV side while a much beefier system is storing content and doing all the other compute-heavy tasks.

I work with these units daily as multimedia computers (driving digital signage equipment) and they are one of the better systems we've used in a long time. Paired with at least 2GB of RAM and a small SSD, they're just about perfect ; They don't put out...

The Atom CPU can be a little weak at times when driving full 1080p content without any GPU acceleration (certain codecs aren't accelerated) ; Also, don't plan on doing any serious gaming on these. They're meant to be multimedia boxes that can be...

Great XBMC Machine

I have an ITX based system I've been using for a while now to run XBMC, decided to give this little box a try because it was cheaper and smaller and I needed a second box. Paired it with a Kingston 8GB SSD (N82E16820139427) and Mushkin 2GB DDR3...

Small, Quiet, Comes with VESA Mount ; Very easy to install the drive and memory, just two thumb screws ; Decent amount of options in the BIOS (hit DEL to access the BIOS BTW) ; According to my Kill-A-Watt it averages about 20 watts of power

Construction does feel a little cheap, but this shouldn't be an issue really. I wouldn't suggest stacking anything on top of it, but then you shouldn't stack any small electronics or they cannot breath properly ; Doesn't seem to support Wake on USB ;...

Zotac ZBOX HD-ND02-U Atom 330 NVIDIA ION 2 x 204Pin NVIDIA ION graphics processor Mini / Booksize Barebone System

It would be great to pick the color of the circular light on the outside rather than it be based on the model type.

Quiet, Easy to install ram and drive. Works great with Ubuntu Linux (did not try HDMI). My UPS claims it's only using 10W or less, haven't verified yet. Pretty snap local service with 2 GB of RAM and an SSD

No access to the bios, so not sure if it has wake on lan or not and can't disable some of the external lights which are a nuisance or the wifi which I don't need on a lan wired server

The perfect mini-HTPC

I have this paired with 4GB of RAM, an Intel 40GB SSD and Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. It boots quickly and loads apps quickly. It currently serves as my home file server, FTP server, and web server all the while playing 1080p H264 content without dropping a...

Low power consumption, supports hardware H264 acceleration, flash acceleration, and 7.1 surround sound, completely silent

Only 1 eSATA port, but none of these mini ION systems have more than 1 so I can't knock an egg off for that

Zbox VS Mac mini

Was thinking of getting Mac mini to connect to my 55" LED so I can stream movies directly to my TV. Was thinking of getting Mac mini at first but it's just way too expensive. Since I already have a spare hard drive and Copy of Vista 64 thought I'd go...

Small, Cheap prices, Super easy to put together. Built-in Wifi, HDMI out put

Not powerful enough to use it as media player ; Not as quiet as I thought it would be. Cheap plastic chassis. Runs quite hot after awhile

Don't believe the advertising

I bought this thinking it would be a great solution for a media PC since Zotac claims it has the ability to stream 1080P video. Very disappointed and I will be returning for a full refund.

Small, low power consumption, HDMI (vido and audio) and fast wifi

This cannot play 1080p video as advertised. A bluray rip just stutters along and completely locks up the system. Flash is no better. Sites like Hulu and Youtube run fine if you keep the window at the default size, but if you maximize it to fit the...

Funky all around

Small cheap

Unlike what someone posted about not being able to boot from the card reader, you actually can. the BIOS is a bit funky. Remember that when booting from the USB (installing OS to card reader) the USB has to be device 1, and the card reader #2, then set...

Great for XBMC

I popped a 2gb DDR3 samsung memory module in this box and it worked great. I was going to use an SSD as the main disk, but that seemed like overkill when I figured I could run XBMC right off of flash drive, which I did. XBMC runs great, I couldn't be...

Capable of playing high profile H.264 MKVs ; Excellent for XBMC setups ; Small form factor ; Quiet ; Lots of USB ports and connectivity

Runs a bit on the hot side. I'd recommend running it with the vertical stand. Heat does seem to flow pretty well out of the top and sides

Happy computer

I am going to buy me one too.

It is very small, which it can be space save on desk. The only thing you need to add to it is a 2.5" SATA hard drive and 4GB (2 x 2GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) and of course windows. After that is done and working I was surprise it was...
