The noise-cancelling Shure Aonic 50 Gen 2 headphones offer commendable battery life and produce clear, highly customizable sound over both wired and wireless connections.

The second-gen Aonic 50 headphones deliver more battery and a confident sound – at an equally confident asking price
Confident sound with considerable user-customisation ; Comfortable to wear for long periods ; Decent battery life
Not the most powerful noise-cancelling (ANC) ; High price and considerable competition ; Wind tear can be an ANC bother
If you're looking for well-made headphones with top quality sound and high-res audio compatibility the Shure Aonic 50 Gen 2 are a confident pair of over-ears that deliver audio with gusto – and add a little extra thanks to the Spatializer and...

Shure's second-generation over-ears are great all-rounders
Supreme wired and wireless connectivity options ; Myriad EQ presets ; Outstanding spatial audio options
A little heavy over time ; Only average active noise cancellation ; Occasional treble-heaviness
Shure Aonic 50 Gen 2 offer the gamut of connectivity – 3.5mm and USB-C wired audio (take note, iPhone 15 owners) plus all the top Bluetooth codecs for wireless listening – in a beautifully crafted, demure build. In fact, they're good across the board,...

With Shure's approach to impeccable sound joining with noise cancelling, surely it's a marriage made in heaven?
Great battery life ; Shure sound is enjoyable - especially with the Spatializing feature ; Hi-Res audio support - wired and wireless ; Comfortable to wear and solid build ; Multi-point Bluetooth
They're not cheap ; Noise cancelling is better, but not amazing ; Wind-tearing noise when outdoors
Shure gets a lot right with the Aonic 50 Gen 2. The improved battery life is fantastic, as is the Bluetooth performance. They deliver better - but not perfect - ANC, and have great sound. Perfect for the at-home music listener.

Everyday studio-quality headphones that fall short for daily use
Excellent audio quality ; Premium design ; Very comfortable ; Reasonably good battery
Poor ANC ; Terrible microphone ; No wear detection ; EQ only over Bluetooth
The Shure Aonic 50 Gen 2 headphones offer incredible, studio-worthy audio performance, great comfort and a premium build. The companion app also gives you access to a solid EQ and various spatial modes, making these headphones great for listening to...

Shure took an already good wireless noise cancelling headphone in the AONIC 50 and improved it without raising the price or cutting corners. It's well worth a look. Shure took an already good wireless noise cancelling headphone in the AONIC 50 and...
With so much competition in the wireless headphone category, the Shure AONIC 50 Gen 2 needed to offer something above and beyond to really stand out.

The Shure Aonic 50 Gen 2 sounds great and connects to almost anything
Studio-quality sound ; Customizable EQ ; 45-hour battery life ; Solid build quality
Slightly pricey ; Heavier than average

The Shure AONIC 50 GEN 2 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. They have good adjustability and the sound reproduction is clear with no noticeable distortion. Audio for calls is great and this has...
It feels like a quality build ; Nice features ; Good noise canceling ; Very clear phone calls ; Nice companion app
Needs more range and presence in the low-frequency (This is a personal taste issue)
