Samsung Odyssey 3D G90XF Review: Mind-blowing 3D Experience

 

The new Samsung Odyssey 3D G90XF is a monitor you have to see to believe, and once you see it, your mind will be blown.

Nice clean design ; Nice display with good colors and decent blacks ; Performs well as a 2D and 3D monitor ; 3D Experience is wild and fun ; Very nice sound and spatial audio features ; Good I/O selection and good adjustability

Very expensive ; Game support is limited right now ; 3D will require a good gaming rig with power ; 2D off angle viewing could be better

The Samsung Odyssey 3D G90XF is, I believe, is a niche product, but there is certainly a market there; otherwise Samsung wouldn’t have made it. I think early adopters who love new tech will buy this. It’s for this reason, we’ve awarded this monitor...

Samsung Odyssey 3D Review: This Glasses-Free 3D Monitor Can Impress, But Poor Games Support Kills It

 

The Odyssey 3D monitor is like a giant Nintendo 3DS screen, but $2,000 for 14 supported games isn't nearly enough.

The 3D effect is stellar for cartoonish or stylized games ; Eye tracking manages to follow the user even in odd positions ; Fairly bright IPS display

Really, really expensive ; Reality Hub doesn't track some games on platforms like Xbox ; Limited 3D options for both games and non-game content

Samsung Odyssey 3D It does 3D right, but it costs way too much and does way too little.
