Vista - I'm a believer

 

I upgraded the RAM to 4 GB and I am running 32bit. I hear that 32bit OS can't use more than 3GB but I don't understand that. My computer can see the full 4G-bytes. I don't know if its using it all though.

I am absolutely loving Vista. Also the thinkpad build is well thought out. I got this laptop for about $800.00, which is a smokin hot deal. I am very happy with this computer overall.

The Hard Drive died after about one week. I almost took off one egg for that but IBM took great care of me. I had a new HD in two days. I changed out the HD no problem. My computer is running like a champ. I am happy that I got a chance to test IBM's...

The technical specs on newegg don't mention that this machine has a firewire port (it does, a little 4-pin one in the front of the left side), and also erroneously says that the maximum memory is 3Gb (I have 4 Gb happily running, with 64-bit Linux)....
