August's affordable Smart Lock is solid, even sans Siri
Don't be fooled by the price; the $149 August Smart Lock is pretty darn clever.
August's third-generation Smart Lock comes with a DoorSense open/close sensor and works with Amazon Alexa speakers and the Google Home for just $149.
The Smart Lock doesn't work with Apple HomeKit or Z-Wave. Its lock motor is a little noisy.
August's Smart Lock is a decent entry-level smart lock that performs well and offers a lot for its price.

August Smart Lock is a better value than any other smart lock we tested.
The three-month battery life might be too short for some homeowners.
Despite being a very affordable smart lock, August Smart Lock 3rd Generation has exceptional features and amazing smart home compatibility.
