I wore a fitness ring for a month, and learned to like it
The Motiv Ring shows how maybe the future won't involve smartwatches at all.
Clean-looking, stylish design and a three-day battery life. It's waterproof so you can wear it while showering and swimming. It tracks heart rate, sleep and steps automatically.
It only works with iPhones. No indicators or vibrations means you need to check the app for feedback. It doesn't track continuous heart rate, only resting and during activities. Its sleep tracking data isn't as deep as other wrist wearables, but it's...
Motiv's easy-to-wear fitness ring does the basic stuff surprisingly well, but its higher price and lack of extras mean it won't replace a good fitness band.

This past Sunday, the future touched my life in the form of a humble ring that logged my 5pm hangover nap. It's not exactly a flying car or a meal that fits inside a pill, but dammit, I've been charmed by this little finger Fitbit.

Llevé un anillo monitor de actividad durante un mes y me acabó encantando
El Motiv Ring muestra un futuro que podría carecer de relojes inteligentes.
Diseño elegante y simple y tres días de batería. Es a prueba de agua, de modo que puedes llevarlo puesto al ducharte o nadar. Monitoriza automáticamente tu sueño, ritmo cardíaco y los pasos que das.
Solo funciona con un iPhone. La falta de vibraciones u otras señales hace que tengas que mirar el app para ver lo que está pasando. No monitoriza el ritmo cardíaco continuo, sólo el ritmo cardíaco en reposo o realizando actividades. Sus datos de sueño...
El anillo de Motiv hace lo básico sorprendentemente bien, pero su precio elevado y el hecho de que le falten algunos extras no lo convierte en un sustituto para una buena pulsera de actividad.
