ATC makes a strong argument for active loudspeakers

Beautifully detailed, with superb imaging ; An unusually neutral performer with acoustical music ; Rocks out surprisingly hard

Takes the fun out of amplifier and speaker cable upgrades ; Looks a little industrial ; Makes a noise when switched on/off

Makes a very strong case for the active principle and is worth seeking out if you've never tried actives. It's good value for the price, including the built-in power amps, and it offers very fuss-free sound for a range of genres

Despite the assertions of many loudspeaker designers that they are the future, and regardless of their considerable success in the pro-audio world, they just haven't caught on.

Beautifully detailed, with superb imaging, An unusually neutral performer with acoustical music, Rocks out surprisingly hard
