Poor design will not accept grounded plug

BEWARE! I bought this adapter expecting that it would accept a standard 3-prong grounded US plug - since ALL electronic devices I carry require this. My surprise it that it is only designed to accept a 2-prong non grounded plug. It makes no sense to me...
