Kingston K-PEX 100 Portable Media Player

We hate to admit it, but we sometimes judge a book by its cover. Kingston's K-PEX 100 is a case in point—this flash media player sat in the Lab unopened and unloved for weeks.

Doubles up as a USB storage device, and has a ton of different options for your entertainment needs

although it doesn't really excel at any of said options. And the audio sucks, too

We’d score the K-PEX 100 even lower if it weren’t for its USB-host feature and the fact that its memory can be expanded via a miniSD slot. These are good ideas that we’d like to see better executed.

Awsome Product!!!

It would be great if this player was able to play MIDI. Just my thoughts.

This portable player plays all the popular file types out there. I also enjoy the 2" TFT Screen with bright colours ; The output sound is very clean. Easy to manuver around with GUI(interface) ; I also like the fact that you can plug your own Mini SD...

Not a good experience

There's absolutely no help online from Kingston except for two issues through the FAQ, neither of which help if the darn thing doesn't work. I'm here on Newegg looking for something different >.

Small size, excellent for what I wanted, which was mainly an mp3 player/storage so I could move it from my home computer to work computer

Beware - Kingston does NOT sell a replacement battery!

This unit has nice size and decent sound.

The fatal deficiency is the lack of any chance of a replacement battery.
