Maxent's MX-50X3 50-inch plasma HD monitor delivers good image quality on both high-def and standard TV content, but it's not exactly a TV. Like any plasma monitor, it offers neither an analog NTSC tuner (for standard content) nor a digital ATSC tuner...
HD and standard-def content look good Low price, honest documentation
No NTSC or ATSC tuner Confusing remote

Maxent MX-50X3
Relatively inexpensive; deep blacks; accurate color decoding; independent memory per input; position and size controls; detachable speakers; remote has separate source-selection keys.
Subpar video processing with no 2:3 pull-down; some visible false-contouring artifacts near black; just one HDMI input; lacks an HDTV tuner and a CableCard slot; ho-hum styling.
The 50-inch Maxent MX-50X3 plasma is an excellent value by virtue of its impressive picture quality, but don't expect high style or numerous features.
